Many of our private clients build a log-cabin in their garden to get an extra room. This can be used for a variety of purposes such as a home office, summer room, guest room, exercise room, student pad, children's playroom, hobby room, pool cabin, garages and much more. Nordic Wood will design and make to measure a Log Cabin around your requirements for size and usage. We supply a varied selection of timbers, decoration finishes, windows, doors, roof covers, floors, foundations etc. Nordic Wood also supply log-cabins to businesses, schools, sports and leisure clubs.
Mr. Haylock, from Cambridge chose to build his cabin in 70mm timber and add insulation in the roof and floor so he could use his cabin whatever the weather. The windows are double glazed and
the door is built of solid pine. Internally the ceiling is finished in pine tongue and groove panels and the floor is a professional pine floor dried to 8% moisture.
The Cabin offers about 160 sq. feet of space, or similar to that of a double bedroom. The foundation is on simple payment slabs and the log cabin was supplied ready for construction.
The featured cabin is built at the bottom of Mr. Haylock’s garden where his clever use of lights, fences and decoration adds to the charm of a Nordic Log cabin. The cabin is mainly used as an office but could also be a successful guest room when needed. The cabin is well insulated and gives a good warm atmosphere reminiscent of a Scandinavian mountain retreat. Mr. Haylock is very happy with his cabin and uses his office on a daily basis and is quoted as saying “ Nordic Wood supplied the cabin exactly as I wanted” |
