Within our group of companies we have been designing, building and constructing log buildings for more than twenty-five years. Nordic Pine
Nordic Wood starts each and every cabin with selected, kiln-dried, Nordic Pine. The Nordic Pine is our choice of wood due to its superior stability, limited shrinkage, light weight and its beautiful grain. We offer a range of timber profiles and thicknesses from 60mm to 200mm. Our 60mm and 90mm is the most popular timber for our garden cabins, mobile holiday homes and garages. The full size log cabins and log homes are built in 90mm, 120mm and 145mm machine-finished timber or in 175mm and 200mm hand finished timber logs.
Production
After each log has been kiln dried, we then precision mill each log into a variety of log profiles, each of which features a double tongue and groove joining system. The double tongue and groove system has been proven to add strength and rigidity while helping prevent air infiltration. Finally, after being milled and individually inspected, cut and numbered for each and every individual plan, the logs are then packed and shipped to you, our client. |
