Electricity and Plumbing
This is normally arranged by our client, but we have arrangements with qualified plumbers and electricians (Beere Electrical Services Limited)who can complete your requirements.
Foundations
This is normally provided by our client, but we can assist in arranging for the foundation at your request. We will provide drawings for the foundations with exact measurements. Our cabins are designed to adapt to any kind of conventional foundation. They are built over full basements, crawl spaces, concrete slabs, and over pylons.
Sustainable materials
Nordic Wood donates a fixed amount of the price you pay to plant trees. We use timber from sustainable sources with established replanting policies. |
Wooden Windows and Doors
Whatever style of wooden window and doors you choose, you’ll enjoy the comfort of energy efficient thermal insulating glass. All of our cabins come standard with solid wooden doors and windows that are offered in a wide variety of sizes to suite your needs.
Maintenance
With the proper care and maintenance, your new log cabin will continue to maintain its look and appeal for many generations. At Nordic Wood we are committed to helping you maintain your new Nordic Wood Log Cabin for as long as you own it. It is important to keep your logs dry during the construction of your cabin. After construction, treat the exterior of your cabin with a good quality wood preservative. We recommend repeating this process every three to five years. Use a product that allows the wood to breathe. The interior of your home can be finished with any good interior wood finish. Preservatives for the interior of the log walls are not needed but will reduce the darkening of the wood over time. |
